Lo avevano anticipato alcune settimane
fa attraverso i rispettivi profili Twitter. Ora è finalmente tempo
di svelare il titolo del brano inciso da Brian May e Kerry Ellis a
supporto del progetto Common Decency, lanciato ufficialmente lo
scorso 24 Marzo e di cui anche Queen Forever si occupa diffondendo
tutte le informazioni necessarie per conoscere anche qui in Italia
questa nuova iniziativa di Brian.
Il pezzo scelto per fare da inno a
Common Decency è One Voice della band canadese dei The Wailin'
Jennys. Formatisi nel 2002, hanno all'attivo quattro album e numerosi
riconoscimenti, tra cui spiccano due Juno Awards, il corrispettivo
canadese dei Grammy tanto per intenderci. Il brano scelto da Brian e
Kerry è una delicata ballata acustica, in perfetto stile con gli
ultimi lavori realizzati dal duo e il testo appare estremamente
significativo e davvero adatto a rappresentare lo spirito di Common
Decency.

CREDITS: tutti gli strumenti sono suonati dallo stesso Brian, tranne la batteria. Come indicato sul sito ufficiale del Doc, dietro i tamburi c'è infatti John Miceli, ex membro dei Rainbow e dei Blue Öyster Cult (la stessa band in cui ha militato Danny Miranda che ha suonato nei tour dei Queen+Paul Rodgers), famoso soprattutto per aver collaborato con Meat Loaf, grande amico dello stesso Brian.
Interessanti poi le collaborazioni per la realizzazione del video: Grigorij Richters è l'autore assieme a Brian dell'idea e ha ripreso le immagini, curando le luci. Grigorij è il regista del film 51Degrees North per il quale il Brian ha realizzato la colonna sonora. Il film uscirà a metà Giugno in occasione dell'Asteroid Day.
Assistente alle riprese Denis Pellerin che per chi segue le "Avventure Stereoscopiche del Dr Brian May" sul Blog, non è altri che il co-autore di Diableries.
La produzione, infine, è di Brian May, con la co-produzione dei fidati Justin Shirley-Smith and Kris Fredriksson. Kevin Metcalfe ha curato invece gli aspetti tecnici della masterizzazione presso i The Soundmasters Studios.
